Skip Counting

Counting by 1

When we count by 1, we add the number 1 for each counting.

For example,

0 + 1 = 1 1 + 1 = 2 2 + 1 = 3 3 + 1 = 4 4 + 1 = ---

1 2 3 4 5

Counting by 1 involves natural counting like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and so on.

Other examples:
13, 14, 15, 16 and so on

23, 24, 25, 26 and so on.

Counting by 2

Here, we add number 2 for each counting, in such a manner that the

counting is represented in alternate numbers.

Suppose we start counting from 0, then, skipping the count by 2 for each

step we can write as;

0, 2, 4, 6 ,8, 10……so on. 8
