3. Gurupurab

Gurupurab is celebrated as the birthday

of the rst Sikh gurus. People go to the

gurdwara and pray to the Guru Granth

Sahib. The Guru Granth Sahib is the holy

book of the Sikhs.

4. Holi

Holi is the festival of colours and fun.
It marks the end of the spring season.

We eat sweet ‘gujiya’ and play with gulal
and water.

5. Christmas

Christmas is celebrated on the birthday of

the Lord Jesus Christ. It is celebrated on

25th December. People decorate

Christmas trees with stars, gifts, and

lights. They go to church to pray.
